Chic French design by Jean-François Rey's design studio

Designed for the Jean-François Rey's ‘Studio de Création’, Volte Face is directed by young eyewear fashion designer, Fanélie Colomb. Faithful to the spirit of the brand, the collection aims for a personal and feminine aesthetic, mixing a style that offers discreet luxury and contemporary refinement built on the principles of the Decorative Arts, and inspired by fine jewelry and contemporary textiles.
For A/W 2019/20, VOLTE FACE explores the theme of jewellery, in a pure and modern context. “The decorative intention stands out in the Art Déco style,” says the designer. “The frames are inspired by strong motifs and constructions from the iconic lamps of Louis Poulsen, jewels from Amélie Riech or Georg Jensen. The metal frames, such as Noon and Ness are adorned with fine and delicate Art Deco details.”
Titanium models are also a new feature in this collection while the acetate materials mix interesting colours and light reflections, created to give a fresh spirit and “glowing effect” to the frames.

The French design collection Volte Face will be shown at Jean-François Rey's Stand at MIDO 2020 – Booth M09-N10, Pav. 4.
