French independent eyewear specialists MMC’ Eyewear have announced the European roll out of their new ophthalmic collection, Steve McQueen. Designed for men and women, the exclusive lifestyle line is inspired by the effortless style of Hollywood’s ‘King of Cool’ and his much admired iconic looks. The collection comprises on-trend updated eyewear classics with a relaxed feel in fine materials including cellulose acetate and underlying values such as “elegance, high standards and freedom.”
MMC’ Eyewear was created in 2016 by Gilles Macaluso and is now run in partnership with Pierre Meguetounif. The company holds an optical and sunglasses licence with Sunchild, the free-spirited casual-chic kid’s/teen clothing brand. The Steve McQueen ophthalmic eyewear collection was added via a long-term license in 2019 in an agreement with Greenlight, the licensing division of Branded Entertainment Network (BEN) and the company appointed by the late actor’s estate to expand the brand with a new programme of licences.
