Illusione Ottica is promoting a new competition for the design of a pair of eyeglasses to be presented at IOFT Tokyo as the “Eyewear of the Year 2011” in the “men’s” and/or “women’s” category.
The eyewear can be in metal, titanium, wood, acetate or a combination of these, but it must be suitable for industrial production and have at least two variants in a minimum of four different colors.
The only requirements are that participants must be students or designers with a maximum age of 35 or, in the case of a team, the average age must be 35. Each designer or team can enter a maximum of 3 projects.
Technical drawings must be received no later than July 15, 2010. In addition to the model being presented in Tokyo, the winner will also be offered a collaboration with the company.
