Robert Rüdger, chic and sophisticated eyewear for men

October 12 2015
A perfect mix of quality materials and design capabilities A union of traditional shapes and design innovation, a classic mood and contemporary style. These are the features of Robert Rüdger eyewear, an all-male collection poised between strong and contrasting inspirations. The historic brand, launched at the beginning of this year thanks to collaboration between Area98 and the designer Rudi Himmelfreundpointner, finds fresh vitality and a new appeal. The Robert Rüdger collection presented at Silmo offers a dynamic rethink on the classics. Modernity involves the use of exclusive materials – wood, titanium, horn and TR98 (ultra-lightweight thermoplastic material, highly resistant and flexible) and innovative manufacturing techniques which transform each frame into a compendium of balance, technology and a fanatical attention to details. The showcase model is RR015 (top photo), stylistic link between past and present. In horn with double bridge in titanium, this exclusive frame is available both in the prescription version and sunglasses (in a limited edition) and relaunches, with new creative verve, round glasses, timeless icon of men’s fashion. The tradition of lines is transformed into elegance in the RR019 RR019 col.02 model, where vintage style makes way for a more understated and glamorous attitude with the use of a special production technique: sublimation, 3D dyeing which leads to an original wood effect. From the colour point of view this model reveals a dual personality: the exterior draws on a palette of classic colours – black, brown and dark blue – while in the interior the bright shades of red, green and light blue contrast with each other. RR020 col.03Straight lines and tradition are the key words of the RR020 model with a square shape, front in TR98 and wooden temples with rubber-covered ends. In this case too “contrast” colours were chosen: the outer fronts with understated tones reveal a bold inner core in white, orange or bright green. Apparently “traditional” eyewear yet with a dual personality! RR022 col.01A revival of metal and absolutely classic shapes also for the model RR022 with front in titanium, double bridge and temples in lightweight titanium and wood. The colours are the classic gold, silver and touches of blue; the temples continue along the path of traditional colours with understated choices such as green, black, grey and blue. This produces eyewear with a vintage mood and understated and elegant style, rich in personality. RR017 col.03Temples in horn, a prestigious and exclusive material, and front in two-tone wood for the model RR017. The shape is still traditional and squared, the colours drawn on the group of browns, black, grey and blue. In this case too understatement rhymes with elegance and the exclusive quality lies in the details, with the manufacture which is unique of its kind and the choice of special colours.
