In this new collaboration of the season, two female designers from Spanish brands have come together to co-work on a project rooted in design and sustainability: the prestigious jeweller Helena Rohner and the promising eyewear firm Nina Mûr, led by Lorena Serrano Peinado.
The MAGNA collection is the product of a fusion of high technology and craftsmanship, design and quality. With their own aesthetic but a common philosophy, Helena Rohner and Nina Mûr come together in an experimental project that provokes and, surprises not only because of its design, but also because of the inclusion of a new sustainable material.
A high-pressure laminate, made from translucent paper, gives the frame surfaces a velvety finish. The colour palette is focused on light and delicate pastels, and the materials is layered over the birch plywood base which is characteristic of Nina Mûr.
MAGNA consists of a limited-edition deluxe kit that includes a large tabletop magnifier and a small pendant magnifier. The particular construction of both of the magnifying glasses design that mixes the colour and the sheets of wood alternately, results in a concept that feels beautiful and unique. The capsule collection includes five individualistic glasses designs inspired by the shape of the magnifying glasses. Each of these 5 models can be found in six soft pastel tones.
