ADVANCING SMART GLASSES FOR FASHION AND DESIGN BRANDS

SKUGGA Technology AB, the Stockholm-based tech company, has created an industry leading smart miniaturised eyewear module, designed specifically for eyewear fashion brands, described by the company as "a perfect partner for their unique aesthetic". For the end consumer, the integrated SKUGGA technology means immediate access to Bluetooth motion and environmental sensor data, LEDs for notification and navigation, plus a whole world of potential connectivity with favourite apps to track health and external factors (air pollution, UV light etc) in a product that can be fashionable and cool in terms of style and design–a far cry from the clunky, bulky smart glasses of recent years.
In a statement to press in March 2022 SKUGGA Technology's CEO Mikael Eriksson said 2022 is an important year for innovation in smart glasses technology with varied implications across the segment. "At SKUGGA, we believe that smart glasses will offer many different opportunities and capabilities, even in the very near future. Smart glasses will have an important role in assisting us in our daily activities, monitoring our body performances and the surrounding environment. For this aim, today we are focused on growing our team to fully implement our smart innovations later this year."
Asked about current projects he added: "We are streamlining our ground-breaking collaboration with McLaren Vision and L'Amy Luxe. Things are moving as planned and we stay very much concentrated on a path of organic growth."
