Blue-light-blocking lens coating meets shifts for a new way of living
Covrt Project – the young London brand known for its street aesthetic fused with functionality, technical precision and cutting-edge technology – has confirmed successful uptake of its blue blocking lens coatings launched in Autumn 2021. The brand’s natural satin black optical collection is now offered with a new choice of ZEISS DuraVision Anti- Reflective Sun or BlueProtect (blue blocking) lens coatings for plano lenses. The Anti-Reflective coating option offers a variety of benefits including reduced reflection and excellent visual clarity. The BlueProtect coating is designed for people who spend a lot of time indoors and who are exposed to blue-violet light from LEDs, TV, computer or tablet screens. According to the brand, the addition of these advanced lens coatings comes as a direct response to shifting demands of consumers whose habits, lifestyle requirements and use of eyewear has changed. Creative director Marcello Martino says the new lens options add a further advanced technical dimension to the collection, protecting the eyes and helping relieve eye strain whilst increasing comfort throughout the day.
