MATERIKA, the high-end brand produced by LOOK-made in Italia, has introduced two newstyles in the PIUMA series. Consistent with the modern mood of the brand and its aestheticstyle, the design of the new frames is based on ‘the concept of dynamism’ with shapeswhich seem to have been created by a wind current; the sharp edges of the bridge and endpieces melt into the rims. Magnesium, the material from which the styles have been made,is a key element of the concept which, according to LOOK, invokes “the world of high-speed,where weight must be reduced to a minimum”. The two new frames are added to the current collection, making up a four-piece line withtwo styles for men - in six colourways, and two for women in five different hues. Contrastingmatt and polished details make way for exclusive shimmering colours that accentuate thedynamic look of the series, while bright nuances and reflective metal details highlight theinside of the temples. Also among the colorways is a "pure" gradation that mimics theappearance of magnesium in its most elemental state. The company adds that the MATERIKA PIUMA frames are fully traceable because they aredeveloped, designed and produced entirely in Italy by LOOK-made in Italia.
