Multi-talented designer Veronika Wildgruber’s new eyewear styles – released this autumn/winter season – include the sunglass model Rocky, with a new colour palette of blackrose and blackbrown – with a graduated effect. This statement acetate frame has a round eye shape and bold upper section with a flattened “architectural” form. Model Loki is an innovative design that Wildgruber calls a realisation of “the impossible”. This style has an aviator shape with an interwoven bridge that creates the illusion of an infinity loop – inspired by Roger Penrose and M. C. Escher. Made from nickel silver sourced in Italy and Germany, the details include titanium nose pads, and ZEISS sun lenses with light silver mirror flash. According to the designer, all the waste material is returned to the manufacturer and is 100% re-used and melted with the raw material for zero waste.
