Blackfin introduces Prometheus design in limited edition
Blackfin announces the launch of Prometheus, a titanium sunglass style with a futuristic design. The sunglasses take their name from the Titan of Greek mythology who provoked the gods by giving fire to humanity, a symbol of courage and determination that, according to the company, perfectly embodies the Blackfin philosophy.
Sculpted from a single block of titanium, the front of the design is milled three-dimensionally with state-of-the-art micrometric precision. The aluminum rims are completely milled-from-solid and their depth lends three-dimensionality and solidity to the overall design.
Each surface is hand-polished to enhance the details. The Obsidian Black Gold finish, achieved through Blackfin Nano-Plating™ technology, is applied to the upper part of the front, creating contrast with the matte black of the lower portion. Made of transparent acetate – the temple tips reveal the ultra-thin titanium internal core, whose technical/mechanical design emphasizes the precision and engineering behind this concept. To underscore the small-batch production, each pair features a limited edition series number and is enhanced by laser marks in a gold finish. The sunglasses are available in two sophisticated color combinations: Obsidian Black Gold, Shiny Silver details, Emerald Haze lenses; and Obsidian Black Gold, Shiny Silver details, Sapphire Haze lenses.
