Marcolin Group announced in November that it has finalized its acquisition of ic! berlin.
Marcolin now takes full control of the renowned Berlin-based eyewear company, integrating within its organization approximately 140 employees located at the Berlin headquarters, manufacturing plant and in two subsidiaries in Japan and the U.S. The company statement said, "This acquisition is part of Marcolin’s strategy of enhancing its expertise in metal manufacturing and broadening its luxury portfolio, while also strengthening its market positioning in key areas including Asia and Europe." Details of the transaction were not disclosed. With this acquisition, ic! berlin becomes one of Marcolin’s house brands, along with Web Eyewear, strengthening this strategic segment for the company.
