Lozza reinterprets an Italian icon in the names of elegance and Olympic spirit
De Rigo Vision S.p.A. unveils Zilo Cortina, designed by Lozza, reinterpreting the brand's iconic eyewear with a contemporary twist.
These two limited-edition models are born from the encounter between renowned Italian craftsmanship and the timeless allure of Cortina d'Ampezzo, a style icon and world-famous Alpine destination.
According to the company, a natural bond exists between Lozza and Cortina. The heritage of the brand—founded in Cadore in 1878—merges with the refined spirit of the mountains, giving rise to a design that exudes style and authenticity. The star of the show is Zilo, eyewear created in the 1930s that returns today as a manifesto of refined elegance, designed for those who experience the mountains ‘with class’.
The two models in the Limited Edition share one philosophy: combining vintage aesthetics with contemporary functionality. Both feature premium materials, clean lines, and unique details—including the Cortina logo and the squirrel, symbol of the town, engraved on the frame and dedicated packaging.
Inspired by the Team Spinnaker model from the 1980s, the SL4416 is a statement of style and character. The all-acetate frame features side shields with metal studs, reminiscent of a sail in motion. Zeiss lenses guarantee optimal performance in four colour variants, including one specifically designed for visibility on snow with blue light reduction.
With its clean lines and wraparound silhouette, the SL4417 reinterprets an archive Lozza model with an eye to the future. The closed bridge decorated with a five-line frieze—a tribute to the letters "Lozza"—defines its distinctive character. The style is available in four versions with Zeiss lenses: one optimized for snow and a multilayer mirrored version, with a bold and modern look.
