UNSUIKYO presents SCION, the collection inspired by Jomonsugi, the millennia-old cedar growing in the forests of Yakushima

Revered for its resilience and quiet dignity, the ancient tree becomes the guiding spirit behind a collection where nature’s patience meets Japanese craftsmanship. 

Crafted in Japan, SCION features metal temples with textures inspired by cedar bark, paired with decorative details drawn from traditional samurai attire. These refined elements express inner discipline and calm strength, translated into a modern, understated design language. The collection also introduces UNSUIKYO’s three-stage adjustable temple tips, offering enhanced comfort and precise fit for everyday wear. 

Among the five designs, Scion M2_RS stands out with its balanced round shape and gentle curves inspired by branching cedar limbs. Its refined details and harmonious proportions earned it the Japan Eyewear Award 2026 – Grand Prix. SCION is more than eyewear — it is a quiet dialogue between nature, craft, and time.
