Sola Sunlens Spring/Summer collection
Every year, Sola Sunlens creates a Spring/Summer collection and this year is no exception. Consultants and analysts, expert in the sector, have helped with the analysis of the new trends that will guide the market in the 2006 season based on a careful study of everything that is fashion, design and art.
SS06 collection is therefore the result of an extensive multi-sector research that has led to the creation of a range of sun lenses in line with next summer's fabrics and accessories.
Sola Sunlens has identified four main leitmotifs which form the basis of the collection in order to meet the market's needs in the sector of sunglasses.
The Fifties are the leitmotif that links two of the four SS06 themes. The 1950s of Audrey Hepburn, a style icon for many women of the time, and James Dean, an icon for many young people of yesterday and today.
The first theme, inspired by the glamour of Audrey Hepburn, is certainly very feminine. The Fifties were the years of recovery from the war. From a fashion and style point of view, great attention was paid to accessories. Leather bags, shoes, foulards, jewelry and - of course - sunglasses were the distinctive fashion symbols of the time. Stylish and sophisticated, Audrey Hepburn symbolizes the women of that period. This theme is for women whose love of fashion is fed by the search of new inspirations and interpretations of clothes and accessories. Sunglasses are essential for this look. Glasses not only give protection from the sun's rays, they also match clothes and other accessories. This trend's colors are pink, powder, lilac, purple and ivory with mirroring, like super silver or milky, to create a soft effect.
The second theme has another icon of the period, James Dean. Dean is idolized by youngsters. A rebel and a loner, he symbolizes all the clashes and disagreements between developing youngsters and their parents. He is the epitome of the eternal struggle between adolescents and parents. The James Dean legend grew over the years, inspiring the lives and performance of many artists. Always a source of inspiration, his style is constantly reinterpreted in unique and modern ways. This part of the collection is aimed at young people. Kids for whom friendship, love and enjoyment are unquestionable values. The colors that best interpret this trend are purple, denim, green and red.
Africa is the leitmotif of the third theme. Africa is a blend of feelings, vast land and wildlife. The aromas and sounds of the savanna, the colors of the sun-scorched earth. Africa is a way of life. This collection is designed for men and women who love traveling and discovering new places and horizons. Africa has always been the subject of books and movies because of its strong sense of being in touch with nature, the inspiration that leads to the discovery of a personal inner world. A physical and mental journey by Jeep, in a biplane or on an ancient train. The journey is a metaphor for experience and self-discovery, for feeling alive and peace of mind. Sola Sunlens has chosen the colors, the seeds and natural fibers of this land: an unlimited range of browns...caramel, coconut, burgundy, bronze.
Future and technology are the basis of the last and strictly masculine theme. Dark colors and the futuristic atmosphere of certain movies inspired a range of cool colors, such as blue, petroleum and green. The colors of some technological environments also sparked off the use of mirroring and treatments that replicate neon and metallic effects. This theme is for men whose sights are always set on the future. Men who love being surrounded by innovative and avant-garde objects and accessories, men for whom technology is part of their style, but always combined with classical and essential accessories.
