Persol: inauguration of Incognito exhibition in New York City
Persol has announced the American debut of Incognito, the much-praised traveling exhibition of the Turin-based company’s creative route, at the renowned Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City from June 24 through 28, 2009. Today was the exclusive preview of the presentation.
Incognito was launched at the 2006 Milan Triennale during the International Furniture Fair. In 2008 it went to the famous Palais de Tokyo in Paris and in 2009 Incognito will debut in New York City.
Incognito is an interactive exhibition created by Persol to allow the public to experience the emotions and richness of a tradition that began in Turin almost 90 years ago and which is still the international symbol of Italy’s creativity and top-level craftsmanship. Tradition, quality, style and design at the basis of Persol’s philosophy are the leitmotif of this successful and fascinating exhibition.
Incognito is a multisensory experience where visitors are immersed in a unique atmosphere that leads to the discovery of Persol’s real spirit. In an itinerary of images, sounds, colors and technology, the Persol universe is revealed in all its eclecticism: top-quality manufacturing and materials, the unique design of individual models and entire collections, technological innovation, patented innovations and numerous appearances on the faces of the most famous stars of the big screen.
Video installations, plays of mirrors and interactive screens recount the history of an evolution without end and highlight quality, the collections, and the symbolic value of Persol’s cinematographic dimension. The structure of the Incognito exhibition beguiles and entertains visitors, involving them in a visual, tactile and emotional exploration.
