Rem Eyewear appoints Converse Brand Manager
REM Eyewear is pleased to announce the appointment of Jordan Goodman as the Brand Manager for Converse Eyewear. Goodman will play a critical role in a partnership between Converse and REM Eyewear that has lasted more than twenty years, and will spearhead the development and marketing of this perpetually growing brand presence in the international eyewear arena. Converse is one of the world’s most recognized names, and its iconic style is captured in REM’s Converse Optical, Backstage Sunwear, and the newly launched premium Converse Heritage Sunwear and Optical collections.
“It is exciting to have such a capable marketing professional as Jordan leading Converse Eyewear strategies around the world,” said Mike Hundert, REM’s Chief Executive Officer.
Goodman brings to REM a global perspective of the alpha-consumer and will provide strategic leadership, while developing and implementing marketing plans with Converse. Previous to REM, Goodman was the president at Clear World Productions Inc, a full service entertainment marketing company out of Toronto, Canada. He created the LifeStyles® Condoms Love Fest™ tour with MTV, as well as founded an environmental lecture and film screening series for university students called garbagerevolution.com. On the philanthropic front, Goodman forged an international partnership with MTV’s staying Alive Foundation and developed a fundraising kit for the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research. His crucial experience in music, lifestyle marketing and social media is perfectly aligned with the music-centric and socially conscious Converse customer.
“I am excited to join the REM team and work for one of the hippest brands on the planet, Converse. There are plenty of opportunities for Converse eyewear to stand out and reach consumers in a fresh and interactive approach. I am really looking forward to working with such a dedicated and talented group of pros,” said Jordan Goodman, Converse Brand Manager for REM Eyewear.
