New logistics office for Safilens
Safilens has opened a new logistics office at Concordia Sagittaria (Venice) to start the second decade of the company’s life with success and renewed enthusiasm.
1,800 meters of shelving for faster and more efficient management of increasing volumes of shipments. This new facility will improve material management and, in particular, the rationalization of stored articles that in only 5 years have increased from about 5,000 to over 28,000 thanks to the wider range of products offered.
The creation of the innovative logistics office has included attention to the smallest details: from technology to aesthetics with major importance given to ergonomics, ecology and the working environment for operators. The implementation of this new area was based on a careful study of workflows Safilens carried out in order to fully optimize the organization of space and activities with a view to improving work quality and employee productivity.
