Catalin Pislaru is the winner of the first edition of the Premio Vanni #artistroom.
The result of a renewed partnership between Artissima 2021 and innovative Turin-based brand Vanni, the #artistroom prize was awarded to Catalin Pislaru. The award is bestowed upon an artist under 35 whose work can offer an original perspective of reality, opening up (just like a lens) an unexpected and surprising view.
Pislaru will also collaborate with the Turin-based company Vanni Occhiali in the creation of a capsule collection of glasses to be presented at MIDO 2022.
An international jury composed of fashion designer Arthur Arbesser, Marco Sammicheli (curator at Triennale Milano and director of the Museo del Design Italiano) and artist Marinella Senatore selected the winning artist.
