Certottica Group Approves 2024 Financial Statements: A Year of Strategic Transformation and Solid Results

Certottica Group Approves 2024 Financial Statements: A Year of Strategic Transformation and Solid Results

Revenues of €5.3 million, profitability index at 12%, and equity of €4.8 million for the Belluno-based competence hub.

A strategic year of major transformation, despite a challenging economic environment, with a strong focus on innovation and human capital. Certottica Group confirms a highly positive performance with the approval of the 2024 financial statements and the renewal of the Board of Directors during yesterday’s Shareholders’ Meeting. These results were achieved despite an economic scenario putting pressure on the Eyewear and Sport System industrial districts, which are the Group’s main areas of activity.

Founded in 1992 as a certification body for optical products by a group of entrepreneurs in the sector, Certottica – with ANFAO (National Association of Optical Goods Manufacturers) as its key stakeholder – has, in recent years, undergone a profound paradigm shift. It has evolved into a multidisciplinary hub of knowledge, talent, and projects, offering 360-degree support to the eyewear and sport industries, and proactively supporting all major transformation processes within the national industry.

FINANCIAL DATA

As for the main financial figures in the 2024 balance sheet, total revenues amounted to €5,307,940 – a result shareholders appreciated despite the complex global market conditions. The EBITDA stands at 12%, highlighting excellent core business management and strong profitability. The company’s equity increased significantly, from approximately €3.3 million to €4.8 million.

COMMENT BY PRESIDENT BUSINARO

"It has been an extremely positive year for us," commented Luca Businaro, President of Certottica Group, "especially considering the contractions in the last quarter in both the export of eyewear and in our other key area – certification of PPE for mountain and sports use. Despite this, we completed numerous projects, including the creation of a single entity under the ‘one company’ concept with Certottica Group, followed by the restructuring of our Longarone headquarters, which will soon become a cutting-edge facility in terms of workplace environment, employee well-being, and the quality of service we can offer our clients."

“Certottica Group,” Businaro continued, “is an example of how public and private sectors can work extremely well together to deliver valuable services to businesses and the community.”

COMMENT BY CEO CORRADO FACCO

"2024 was a year of significant change and strategic transformation for Certottica," confirmed Corrado Facco, CEO of Certottica Group. “There are at least five key pillars worth mentioning: the central role of human capital – with 58 employees today and a strong commitment to gender equality and the promotion of women in managerial roles; the merger and integration with Dolomiticert; the near-complete renovation of our headquarters, which is set to become a benchmark for sustainability; a major digital transformation process, including the integration of artificial intelligence into our core processes; and the strengthening of our educational role through the creation of the Education Academy – the skills development center of Certottica Formazione. For all these reasons, we look to the future with confidence, ready to further support the growth and innovation of the industries we serve and our region.”

THE NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS

During the Shareholders’ Meeting, the new Board of Directors of Certottica Group was also appointed for the 2025–2027 term.
