Marcolin and the Marisa Bellisario Foundation together for “Women, Economy & Power”: a two-day event looking to the future

Marcolin renews its support for the Bellisario Foundation, reaffirming its commitment to gender equality, inclusion, and social sustainability.

For the second year in a row, Marcolin has joined forces with the Bellisario Foundation to promote gender equality and social sustainability. The Company took part in the 25th edition of the “Women, Economy & Power” seminar, held in Rome from October 17 to 18.

The 2025 edition, titled “Governing the Present, Generating the Future,” brought together prominent speakers across 12 round tables dedicated to key themes of social innovation—from the future of Europe to business renewal, inclusion, and ecological transition.

Marcolin hosted the panel “Regenerating Business: Culture, Performance, Value,” moderated by journalist Costanza Calabrese, featuring Fabrizio Curci, CEO & General Manager of Marcolin, alongside representatives from academia, institutions, and industry. The discussion focused on the contemporary company’s role as a driver of social and cultural transformation, and on the importance of integrating economic growth with sustainable impact.

Diversity and inclusion are central pillars of Marcolin’s ESG strategy. The Company fosters a balanced and inclusive work environment, embracing differences as a source of innovation. In 2024, Marcolin joined the United Nations Global Compact and achieved Gender Equality Certification. As of December 31, 2024, women represented 58% of the Company’s 1,741 employees and held 46% of managerial positions.

To support people’s well-being, Marcolin promotes welfare programs for work-life balance, flexible working hours, remote work, and a 24/7 psychological support service. Through its Leadership Academy, the Group invests in developing future managers, with a specific focus on female leadership.

Among its social initiatives, Marcolin supports the AIRC Foundation for Cancer Research, funding a 2024–2025 research fellowship at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan dedicated to studying histone proteins in breast cancer.
