MEI bulks up its presence in Asia with a new branch in Japan.
The manufacturer of lens cutting machines, MEI, has opened a new factory in Japan: MEI Nippon. From 1 January 2022, Gian Piero Citti will be heading the new branch as General Manager.
The city of Tokyo has been chosen for the new premises. The new branch joins partner company Meisystem Asia from Hong Kong, thus consolidating the Italian company’s presence in the highly strategic Asian market.
The launch in Japan is part of an
expansion project that began in 2007. Currently, the company has
branches in the United States, Brazil, Hong Kong and Japan, and technical assistance offices in the United States (California and Texas), Colombia, the United Kingdom and India.
