Morel has taken a new step forward in its policy of social responsibility by signing up to the United Nations Global Compact.
The initiative invites companies worldwide to align their operations and strategies with ten universally-approved principles in the area of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and support the goals and issues of the United Nations as embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Launched in 2000, the United Nations Global Compact is the biggest initiative of sustainable companies worldwide, with more than 15,000 companies and 3,800 non-business signatures in over 160 countries, with more than 69 local networks.
With its participation, Morel undertakes to implement the ten aforesaid principles, and publicly reveal its progress in the field with an annual report (Communication on Progress, CoP)
