MYKITA opens a new flagship store in Fukuoka: the Berlin-based eyewear brand strengthens its presence in Japan with a third retail location
MYKITA opens its third store in Japan, located in Fukuoka. Minimalist design, ZEISS technology, and advanced optical services for a tailored experience in the heart of Kyushu.
Berlin-based eyewear brand MYKITA continues its global expansion with the opening of its third store in Japan, located in the dynamic city of Fukuoka. The new retail space is situated inside the recently inaugurated ONE FUKUOKA BLDG., at the center of the vibrant Kyushu capital.
Following Tokyo and Osaka, this new opening further consolidates MYKITA’s presence in the Japanese market—one of the first outside Europe to embrace the brand. “Japan has always been a key market for MYKITA, one that has profoundly influenced our approach to design and product quality,” said Moritz Krüger, Founder and Creative Director of MYKITA. “Opening in Fukuoka reinforces the cultural and commercial connection we share with the country.”
The interior design of MYKITA FUKUOKA reflects the dialogue between Japanese tradition and modernity. Walls finished with araidashi plaster and a bespoke marble-and-glass counter evoke a vintage elegance, while the clean lines and spacious layout are inspired by contemporary minimalist aesthetics. At the heart of the store is the MYKITA WALL—a modular, scenographic structure showcasing all the brand’s collections, from optical frames to sunglasses.
Inside the new store, visitors can enjoy a complete, high-end optical experience, including state-of-the-art vision exams, customized lenses, style consultations, and professional repair services. All treatments are powered by cutting-edge ZEISS technology. Additionally, the MYCARE service program ensures long-lasting comfort and performance for every frame.
With the opening of MYKITA FUKUOKA, the brand further strengthens its positioning in Asian markets, confirming its growth strategy through carefully designed retail environments that reflect its distinctive design identity.
