Oliver Peoples and Roger Federer unveil the Summer 2026 Collection: a duel between performance and style takes center stage in Rome
The fifth chapter of the collaboration between the RF brand and Oliver Peoples comes to life between the Foro Italico and a historic Roman villa in a new campaign photographed by Lachlan Bailey.
Oliver Peoples and Roger Federer renew their collaboration with the launch of the Summer 2026 campaign and collection. Marking the fifth chapter of the long-term partnership between the Roger Federer (“RF”) brand and Oliver Peoples, the new collection is unveiled in Rome, the Eternal City and the ideal setting for a story where sport, elegance and visual identity converge. Photographed by acclaimed photographer Lachlan Bailey, the campaign unfolds between the historic Foro Italico and a Roman villa rich in classical charm.
At the heart of the narrative is a symbolic confrontation: Federer versus Federer. A duel between the athlete and the icon, between performance and style, staged in an arena where the language of sport meets contemporary elegance. Federer’s two identities emerge through two new models: on one side, the champion—instinctive, precise and a master of the game—wears R-20, the new shield-style frame designed for performance; on the other, the style icon—composed, confident and naturally charismatic—chooses R-19, an elegant sunglass frame defined by balance, refinement and restraint. The visual story unfolds through the unmistakable elements of Federer’s game: the fluidity of his forehand, the lightness of his movement and the precision of his one-handed backhand. Every gesture reflects the natural grace that has made his style instantly recognizable both on and off the court. Through light, texture and atmosphere, the imagery and films express the values at the core of the Roger Federer Oliver Peoples collection: precision without excess, performance driven by intention and a discreet presence capable of moving effortlessly across different worlds. Rooted in craftsmanship and developed with a strong focus on innovation, the collection strikes a balance between technical research and timeless elegance.
The new release revolves around four new silhouettes, complemented by fresh colorways of some of the collaboration’s most iconic styles. R-17 interprets the square shape with a bold and contemporary attitude. Its double bridge detail and lightweight metal construction create a sunglass frame designed to combine comfort, precision and everyday performance. With R-18, the collection explores a more understated elegance. The square silhouette, slightly raised lenses and acetate Windsor details come together in a refined, balanced and naturally sophisticated frame. R-19 reimagines the classic rectangular sunglass through a dialogue between acetate and metal. Sharp angles, custom details and technical solutions define its character, making it a style that moves effortlessly between lifestyle and sport. R-20 introduces a contemporary vision of the shield silhouette: a wraparound frame with a clean and confident design, engineered to support movement without compromising on sophistication. The collection also introduces new color variations for Mr. Federer II and Mrs. Federer, bestselling models that continue to embody the collection’s distinctive balance of timeless craftsmanship, technical innovation and modern sporting influence.
Each frame in the collection reflects the meeting point of precision, style and movement through a series of distinctive details inspired by the world of tennis and Roger Federer’s identity. The internal metal core is inspired by the interwoven strings of vintage tennis rackets, while the RF logo appears throughout the collection as a signature element of the partnership. Octagonal temple tips echo the shape of racket handles, further strengthening the connection to the sport, while rubberized nose pads and temple tips ensure a secure and comfortable fit, designed to move naturally with the wearer without sacrificing elegance or performance.
