Safilo renews agreement with Kering Eyewear until 2029
The Group strengthens its partnership for the production of luxury Made in Italy eyewear, aiming to grow in the premium segment.
Safilo Group has announced the early renewal of its supply agreement with Kering Eyewear, extending the collaboration until 2029. This strategic partnership further solidifies the relationship between the Padua-based group and the French luxury giant, with the goal of consolidating their presence in the premium eyewear segment.
The agreement confirms Safilo as the exclusive manufacturing partner for the production of sunglasses and optical frames for Kering’s leading brands, including Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, and Alexander McQueen. A collaboration built on design, manufacturing excellence, and industrial innovation.
The renewal marks an important milestone in Safilo’s transformation journey. In the first quarter of 2025, the company recorded sales of €285.8 million, up 3.1% at current exchange rates compared to the same period last year. Notably, the North American market showed encouraging signs as early as January, confirming the recovery trend observed at the end of 2024.
For Safilo, this agreement further strengthens its role as a strategic partner in the global eyewear industry, enhancing the value of the Made in Italy supply chain and opening new growth opportunities in a dynamic and competitive market.
