Craving MIDO: a talk with Epos.

MIDO is back, in person and in complete safety, at the Fiera Milano Rho venue from 30 April to 2 May 2022. The event is set to be a must-do for the whole sector, both in terms of its role as a privileged observatory and as an international point of reference in the worlds of design, fashion, culture and business. MIDO is also a hub that reflects an entire industry, for reflection and rethinking about eyewear in all its aspects and details, a showcase for final users. As the next important edition approaches, we have interviewed some of the key players.

Today we give the floor to Stefania Mantovani, CEO of Epos.

Why did you choose the name “Epos”?

This name was chosen because we narrate the story of eyewear of timeless design – classic elegance but in harmony with the spirit and colours of the age.

Can you tell us your own story?

Epos was established in 2003, and next year we will celebrate twenty years of success and consolidation in the Italian and European eyewear markets. Three lovers of vintage style items came together to create frames which give their wearers an elegant air, made with extremely high-quality acetate sheets, and entirely Made in Italy production.

What is the philosophy behind your company?

Our philosophy has always been to represent timeless style, items that are elegant and refined both in their materials and production.

On 1st January 2022, you took over the iconic T-look brand: how will it be merged into your company?

This year, the company acquired the historic Milan brand, T-Look, to expand our range of colourful glasses, which are stylish and on-trend. Epos will present the collection at MIDO 2022, a pleasant re-discovery for everyone!

What is the role played by MIDO in the industry generally and for you specifically?

MIDO has always been the most important and comprehensive showcase for the international eyewear industry, and for us it is an important occasion to consolidate our brand in the market, making ourselves known to new international buyers.

What will you be presenting at the 2022 MIDO event?

We will be presenting some very interesting new additions to the Leggenda range, and the brand-new arrival of the T-Look brand.
