I have been a member of Lions Clubs International since 2018. 
Our worldwide motto is 'We Serve' because we deal with problems and distress situations related to the area where we live and where we operate.
LIONS stands for 'Liberty, Intelligence, Our Nation's Safety' and we were born in 1917 in Chicago, where our Head Quarter still stands.
We are active in several areas such as :
    • VISTA, since way back in 1925 when an American woman named Helen Keller during the Lions Clubs International Convention held in Cedar Point, Ohio, USA, challenged Lions to become the 'Knights of the Blind in the Crusade Against Darkness'. Since then, we have worked tirelessly to help the blind and visually impaired. We have a guide dog school located in Limbiate; an eye bank in Genoa and a location where we collect used glasses, refurbish them and donate them to those who cannot afford to buy such an essential item.
