Canoeist Antonio Rossi Visits Safilo Facilities

Antonio Rossi, three times Olympic canoeing champion, yesterday visited Safilo where, according to today's Mattino di Padova, he reached an agreement with the company to be the testimonial for the Carrera brand until the Olympics in Athens.

The athlete, who visited the Padua-based company with Andrea Facchin (another Safilo testimonial in the same sport), spent extra time in the Carrera department, where, under the attentive guidance of Sergio Borsato, the brand's designer, he was able to see for himself how eyewear is created.

Rossi and Facchin also talked about the next world championships in Atlanta, programmed for the middle of September. "I still don't know if we'll be racing together", said the Olympic champion. "We are a group of six very strong athletes and we'll try to create crews that will allow us to qualify in America with the greatest number of boats for the Olympics".
