New CEO for VisionWeb
Jeffrey Saddington is the new CEO of Austin's VisionWeb LP, the company announced Tuesday. Saddington replaces retiring CEO Jacques Stoerr.
Most recently, Saddington served as VisionWeb's chief operating officer. He is a former executive of Vistakon, a division of New Brunswick, N.J.-based Johnson & Johnson [NYSE: JNJ]. During 30 years with Johnson & Johnson, he held operations, sales and marketing positions. Saddington holds a bachelor's degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, where he later earned his MBA degree.
Stoerr will remain closely involved with VisionWeb as a member of the board of directors and as an advisor to the VisionWeb executive team, according to VisionWeb. During Stoerr's one-year term, VisionWeb increased its membership from several hundred to more than 5,000 eyecare providers, according to the company.
VisionWeb connects manufacturers with eye care professionals through its online marketplace for makers of eye care products, including contact lenses and eyeglasses. The company also provides industry-specific news on its Web site from 1,200 online publications.
