New SolaOne progressive lens
Sola Optical presents to the Italian ophthalmic market SolaOne, the progressive lens that has been created thanks to the scientific study of thousands of prescriptions.
What differentiates SolaOne is the superior equilibrium and balance of vision in the central and external areas, which are based on a thorough analysis of the requirements of today's farsighted consumers.
In-depth knowledge about farsightedness has been gained after years of research and after collecting individual parameters from over 10 thousand patients by using the HeadTracking system developed by Sola Optical researchers. Starting with an analysis of the real, day-to-day sight situations and using an advanced ray-tracing software that simulates human sight, more than 2,500 prescriptions were examined, which gave over 32 thousand different sight effects calculated for each single design, and a total of almost 500 thousand comparisons.
A team of doctors, optometrists and psychomotor therapists created exhaustive tests that were then carried out by the Queensland University of Technology and by professional ophthalmologists on wearers who were asked to identify the most important sight situations that require progressive lenses, such as office work, sport, going to the supermarket, sewing, do-it-yourself, driving, and so on: the results have shown high levels of ease of adaptation and maximum satisfaction by the wearer (declared by 96% of the sample analyzed).
To offer the maximum image definition which derives from maximum surface definition, SolaOne 1.67 uses the new HD Technology, the epitome of the most advanced technologies in internal graduation. The particularly excellent result achieved gives SolaOne 1.67 the HD - High Definition - qualification which highlights an added benefit for wearers in terms of the optimization and personalization of glasses for 'high definition' eyesight.
With HD Technology the lenses are made by starting with the wearer's personal needs, which are as unique and different as a fingerprint, to offer an eyesight experience that is just as personal. The lenses are also given the Teflon Easycare anti-reflection treatment, which ensures transparency and maximum ease of cleaning.
