adidas eyewear: new Gazelle ClimaCool pro model
adidas eyewear presents a new model: Gazelle ClimaCool pro, sunglasses that combine the originality of Gazelle running glasses with the exclusive ClimaCool technology, which, thanks to the patented streamlined ventilation system, guarantee optimum vision in all weather conditions.
Gazelle ClimaCool pro eyewear is specifically designed for runners who want all details to be light for maximum athletic performance. Thanks to their many technical characteristics, these sunglasses guarantee perfect balance, distortion-free vision and steam-free lenses. Another feature is the 'double snap nose-bridge' that joins the lenses to the frame.
The Gazelle ClimaCool pro is available in two-color frames - indigo/white, white/black, silver/black, black/gray and scarlet/indigo - with Lst lenses in silver + clear, Lst silver + orange and gray/orange.
For the upcoming Olympics 2004, Gazelle ClimaCool pro adidas eyewear provides an extra 'tool' for its sponsored athletes who will be competing in various sports in Athens.
The foreigners who will be taking part include the US' John Capel, gold medallist in the 200 m and in the 4 by 100 relay race at the World Championships in Paris last year, and Jerome Young, gold medallist in the 400 m and in the 4 by 400 relay race also in Paris.
And from Italy, Nicola Vizzoni, hammer thrower silver medallist at the last Olympic Games in Sydney, with fiancée Claudia Coslovich for the javelin.
Three adidas eyewear athletes are still competing for a place in the high jump at the Olympics: twins Giulio and Nicola Ciotti and Andrea Bettinelli. Gertrud Bacher, for the heptathlon, and Monika Niederstatter for the 400/400 obstacle race, will try to repeat their good results in Paris 2003.
Very young athletes include Mattia Maccagnan, in the 5000 and 10,000 meters, Andrea Alterio, 110 obstacles, and Alessio Rimoldi in the long jump, who are still hoping to play their cards right by mid-July when they will be called officially.
Moving away from athletics, two Italian athletes taking part in the triathlon in Athens will be never without their adidas eyewear, whether they're running or cycling: Silvia Gemignani and Beatrice Lanza. From Biella and under 23s champion in 2000, 22-year-old Beatrice missed a gold at the world cup in Japan 2003 by just 11 seconds, but she'll be trying again in Athens.
