Allison takes Scrovegni Chapel around the world

Allison has always been firmly convinced of the importance of the relationship between the business world and that of culture. For this reason, it has decided to promote, together with the Council for Tourism of the Province of Padua, the 'Giotto at Padua' project, a photographic exhibition of the frescos in the Scrovegni Chapel that will tour the world.

The combination of Allison and Giotto is a natural one given that Allison has always been distinguished for its worldwide promotion of Made in Italy and once again it is giving its support to a unique event: making known the artistic heritage that makes Padua the European capital of medieval frescoes through Giotto's Scrovegni Chapel masterpiece. The Golden Century of Paduan art opens with Giotto as its main exponent, but there are also other great masters like Il Guariento, Giusto de Menabuoi and Altichiero da Zevio.

The exhibition consists of several sections that give a historical and artistic picture of Padua in the 14th century through photographic reproductions of the Giotto cycle in the Scrovegni Chapel and the construction of a 1:4 scale model in wood, which visitors can enter and experience the same celestial atmosphere of the original after the restoration work completed in 2002 which contributed to bringing to light certain details that had been lost for some time.

Inaugurated March 23 by the Padua delegation to Moscow, the photographic exhibition can be visited until April 22 at Moscow's Margarita Rudomino All-Russia State Library for Foreign Literature. After Saint Petersburg it will tour the world.
