Arnette at the 2004 Olympics with Italian female beach volleyball team

Luxottica Group, owner of the Arnette eyewear brand, announced yesterday a new partnership with Daniela Gattelli and Lucilla Perrotta, the leading duo in the Italian women's beach volleyball team, for the forthcoming 2004 Olympic Games.

Arnette's partnership with the Gattelli-Perrotta beach volleyball team will extend throughout the current season, from 1 March to 31 October 2004. Gattelli and Perrotta will be wearing Arnette eyewear at all their matches in the World Beach Volleyball Championship, as well as in the 2004 Olympics in Athens.

The partnership welcomes Daniela Gattelli and Lucilla Perrotta into the stable of athletes that Arnette has assembled for the 2004 communication campaign in the Italian, Greek, and Austrian markets.

The models that Gattelli and Perrotta will wear for the 2004 campaign all feature flexible Grilamid plastic frames, injection-moulded acetate side-pieces, and 8D base polycarbonate lenses. Arnette 4022 is a combination of injection-moulded polycarbonate frames in high-impact, full or shaded colours, with classic or mirror lenses. Arnette 4020's keynote is an intense, extremely varied colour palette. The simple, sporty design with flexible, wrap-around side-pieces ensures maximum eye protection and absolute comfort of fit.

Today, more than eighty athletes wear Arnette sunglasses for a wide range of sports ranging from surfing, wakeboarding, kite surfing, motorcycling, skateboarding, and snowboarding to motocross, and many more.
