Carrera on the podium again at Brno
Last week's World Motorcycle Championships included the Grand Prix at Brno in the Czech Republic, where the riders for Carrera, the Safilo group's brand, demonstrated straightaway that they had benefited from the summer break by taking the podium in both classes after exciting performances and races.
In the 125 cc. Roberto Locatelli finished an astounding race by catching up on the 27 other competitors and he climbed on to the third step of the podium; in the 250 Randy De Puniet went as fast as he dared on a wet and slippery track which caused several riders to come off, and finished second.
Both Carrera riders were therefore able to maintain second position in the place list just behind top-of-the-list Dovizioso (in the 125) and Pedrosa (250). Good results also for the testimonials in the Moto GP: Max Biaggi was classified 3rd, despite continued problems with his bike.
