Carrera: 'winner takes all' at Sestriere
Carrera has triumphed with its athletes in the finals of the Skiing World Cup at Sestriere. The general and Super G World Cup went to an emotional Hermann Maier, who closed the season by sealing his definite return to racing with the crystal ball.
The downhill World Cup went to Stephan Eberharter, after a performance that will go down in the history of skiing, such as the downhill at Kitzbuehel, which saw him come first with a 1.27 second lead over his rivals.
The slalom World Cup went to Reiner Schoenfelder, who never went wrong in the races and headed straight for the finishing line.
The snowboard World Cup went to Jasey Jay Anderson, who climbed onto the podium to receive his 4th trophy wearing the Egg model eyewear.
Isolde Kostner also returned to the podium. With a marvelous 3rd place in the downhill, she has laid the foundation for the next season as a protagonist.
Lastly, the performance by Freddy Schwiembacher in the 1.3 km cross country Sprint brought him his very first World Cup.
