Cébé: from Athens gold to Vuelta gold shirt
Lampre and Liberty Seguros, the two cycle teams sponsored by Cébé, a Marcolin Group company, take part in the 59th edition of the Vuelta España, the last of the three grand tours of the cycling season, which began in Léon on September 4 and will end in Madrid on September 26 after covering 3,000 km across Spain.
Roberto Heras, the Liberty Seguros leader, won the 145-kilometer 12th section of the Spanish Vuelta from Almeria to Calar Alto on an uphill stretch. Twice winner of the Spanish race, the Spanish cyclist preceded co-nationals Perez by 34" and Mancebo by 53". Heras snatched the amaryllis shirt as leader of the classification from American Floyd Landis and he is the favorite to win overall.
The cycling athletes wear the Score and Take Off models by Cébé, ideal for racing sports where streamlining and aeration are essential. At the Athens Olympics, Score was also the model worn by Leslie Dhjone, the French athletics champion.
At the end of the Olympics, Cébé climbed onto the podium with the gold medal for beach volley won by Kerry Walsh, also world champion in 2003. The eyewear worn by the US volleyball player is the Fiery model, the perfect guarantee of maximum comfort and visibility that also ensures total protection against UVA and UVB rays.
