Certottica: Phare 2004 project approved
Within the scope of the Community program, Phare Small Projects, the European Commission has approved a Certottica project that envisages the dissemination of information to new European Union Member States about Community regulations on Personal Protection Devices (PPDs), and the assessment of what their adoption implies at corporate and economic level with respect to product manufacture and sale.
Spreading information about the regulations will be developed on the occasion of a seminar due to be held at Certottica in Longarone (Belluno). People responsible for the institutional adaptation of the legislation within the European regulations, the representatives of Chambers of Commerce and Trade Associations, producers and distributors from the abovementioned countries have been invited to attend.
Certottica deems it strategic to encourage the acquisition and implementation of Community regulations by candidate countries wishing to join the European Union, and it strongly believes that the opportunities to meet provided by Community tools represent a guarantee of seriousness for operators in Member States.
However, Certottica's commitment does not end with the organization of the envisaged conferences, it intends to look into the possibilities of creating new synergies that will have positive effects on its entire system of reference.
