France: opticians top the list of small enterprises

According to a study carried out by the small enterprises observatory of the Fédération des Centres de Gestion Agréés (Fgca) in France, in 2003 opticians recorded a 7% increase in business and joined the ranks at the top of the classification of commercial, crafts and services enterprises.

The study refers to the 726 opticians who are members of Fgca. Overall, the health sector saw a 5.6% increase in turnover compared to 2002.
