Italian men and style
A research carried out by Tql for Milano Finanza Fashion, investigated Italian men's tastes when it comes to clothes.
The survey involved Italy-wide telephone interviews with a representative sample of 600 men divided into four groups of 18 to 55 year-olds. Half the sample consisted of entrepreneurs, managers and professionals.
45% of interviewees stated that for them shopping for clothes, and better still designer clothes, was retail therapy and put them in a good mood. Over 40% spend up to 100 euros a month on clothing and 20% even went as far as 500 euros.
Surprisingly, 50% of the men like ('a lot' or 'quite a lot') spending on underwear, especially the managers and executives category where the figure rose to 53%. Boxers and briefs are hits with 30-40 year olds.
The greatest majority (42%) say their preferred accessory is the watch, followed by shoes (26%), ties (20%) and glasses (19%). But when it comes to trends, it's eyewear that's top of the list, with sunglasses being the favorite accessory of the over-55 age group.
