Lancaster plans to open shops

Lancaster, the Italian label created by the Bari-based company Alvea Srl, is pursuing a brand-management policy distinguished by constant updating of its range of products.

The company designs over 100 watch styles per season, and this figure is topped by the areas of eyewear and leather goods, which forecast an expanded range of up to 150 new accessories. The figures for 2003 testify to this fact: 14 new collections included in the range of styles from the Watch Division, 15 brand-new lines for the Eyewear sector, and 14 small and medium-sized items (in different colour combinations) in the leather goods sector. The common denominator of products by Lancaster, which target a medium-high consumer range, is the inclusion of diamonds, which embellish the creations without overly affecting price.

Lancaster products are distributed on four continents at a total of over 5,000 shops; 80% of turnover comes from exports. The brand also participates in prestigious trade fairs, such as Mido, in its respective merchandising sectors.

Plans for 2004 include the opening of shops run by the company or on a franchising basis, ideal for concentrating the brand presence in the luxury channel.
