Mido 2004 gets more international

Mido 2004 is about to open on a flying note: 1,123 exhibitors, 364 from Italy and 759 from other countries have reconfirmed this exhibition's role as the leading player worldwide with a sharp increase in overseas attendance figures, equal to 67% of the total.

The 2004 exhibition will return with its usual layout (last year the space was slightly different because three-year events were being staged on the same dates) at Fiera Milano's Portello (Pavilions 14-15-16 on the first and second level) and Pavilions 13 (first and second level), 17 (second level) and 19.

There will be 27 international publications with their stands at the exhibition as well as 7 international trade fairs and just as many trade associations, together with more exhibitors than 2003. This is further proof that Mido generates business, sets trends and promotes the entire international eyewear industry.

'An important sign', according to the Mido President, 'that we hope will be a real opportunity to give renewed impetus to all the companies working in this industry. For these companies Mido can be an important stimulus for developing trade exchanges and business contacts'.

As a result of these many initiatives, which include Mido Education and Mido Sport, along with the increase in exhibitors, Mido 2004 will occupy a gross surface area of approx. 130,000 square meters, 10,000 meters more than the previous exhibition (120,000 sq.m).

Mido will take place in Milan, from 7 to 9 May 2004.
