Miuccia Prada wins International Award
In New York Miuccia Prada received the International Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (Cfda), the prestigious award assigned to stylists of the year by the relevant American association in the fashion sector. In 1994 the stylist had already won this award in the accessories category.
The award ceremony took place during a gala evening at the New York Public Library on June 7. The jury, which consisted of over 450 designers, stylists, journalists and fashion store owners, assigned the award to Miuccia Prada as 'the non-American designer whose work had made an exceptional creative contribution to the fashion world'.
The reason for the recognition was 'her determined vision and the impact that her recent collections have had on international style'.
