Pearle Dedicates a Campaign to the Motorists
According to a survey done by the VU University in Amsterdam, motorists don't see very well: 7,8% of them are insufficiently corrected and 2,4% of them has a vision which doesn't even reach the driving license standard. This means 170.000 people of 45 years and older in the Netherlands.
Following these results, Pearle introduces the 'Pearle Sight Guarantee': if the needed correction changes in less than 2 years, the consumer gets a new pair of lenses for free.
Pearle Europe, in which Cole National (the company recently acquired by Luxottica) has a 21% interest, runs some 1,160 optical outlets in 12 countries, operating in Germany, Sweden, Italy. Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and Norway.
