Revo flies over Everest with D'Arrigo
Constancy, tenacity, passion, physical and psychological strength, extreme professionalism, method and science have allowed hang-gliding champion Angelo d'Arrigo to accomplish an exceptional feat: on May 24 he flew over Everest on a hang-glider as he guided Gea, one of the 2 Himalayan eagles raised by Angelo, along its natural migratory route.
Months of preparation and training, where even the smallest details were tested and retested to reduce risks to a minimum and to cope with the unexpected. Particular attention was given to the technological equipment and Revo is proud to have contributed by making its technical and scientific know-how available to Angelo: an important detail for the success of this exceptional challenge.
Angelo d'Arrigo had to face a 5-hour flight at temperatures of 50 degrees below zero and a speed of 200 kilometers an hour. Of the eyewear available, Angelo wore the REVO 2016 301S/65 model with 12-layer stealth lenses, the maximum performance offered by the Light Management System (Lms), and a polarizing filter to guarantee the maximum protection possible and very high quality.
