Safilo has leading role at Mugello with Carrera

At the Italian Grand Prix Safilo Carrera - Lcr achieved the most exciting result. After three years of absence from the podium, Roberto Locatelli, the winner of the title in 2000, came first in a thrilling 125 cc race with the team sponsored by Safilo.

Not just one of best victories for Roberto, but also for Lucio Cecchinello, who re-experienced the emotion of being on the top step of the podium at Mugello, where his win last year was the crowning point of his career.

In the 250, Randy De Puniet came in 4th and kept first place in the classification. In the lead group until the end, a technical problem at the last bend caused his engine to seize and prevented him from taking his place on the podium and increasing his advantage over his opponents.

As always, the numerous Safilo guests again contributed this year to livening up the atmosphere at Mugello as they celebrated Roberto Locatelli's result. The great sports champions included, Rainer Schoenfelder, Gianni Bugno, Massimiliano Blardone, Isolde Kostner, the guys from Safilo Petrarca Rugby, and the X-Prozac yachtsmen.

Specifically, Isolde Kostner arrived at the paddock with 2 pairs of skis and, watched with amusement by passersby, she gifted them to Loris Capirossi and to winner Roberto Locatelli, who promised to be present and root for Isolde at one of next World Sky Championship events.
