Tecnoptic obtains license for Olympics eyewear

The eyewear district at Belluno has once again proved its ability and the vitality of the small and medium-sized companies that are part of it: the eyewear for the Turin Olympics 2006 will be produced in the province of Belluno.

It is Tecnoptic Srl, a small company in Domegge di Cadore and a member of Assindustria Belluno, that has obtained the prestigious licensing agreement for the distribution of eyewear with the 'Turin Olympics 2006' label and the very new 'Team Italia' (the Italian National Olympics logo) brand which was presented only a few days ago. An agreement which allows a company that operates entirely within the territory of Belluno to produce the eyewear which will be worn by our Olympic athletes.

'We underwent a very exacting selection', explained Tecnoptic's owner, Mario Pavanello, 'but we made it and demonstrated to Coni and to the Turin Winter Olympics 2006 Organizing Committee that we have what it takes to make a successful product. Quality, design, innovative products: these are just some of the special characteristics of the products from Tecnoptic, a small company that does everything, from design to production, commercial strategies and shipment, in the Belluno valleys', the entrepreneur concluded.

'I'm really pleased for the company', commented Renato Sopracolle, President of the Assindustria Belluno Section of the Eyewear Articles Production Industries and Representative of the eyewear district. 'The license agreement is an important example of the quality and excellence our small eyewear producers achieve every day. Links with the territory, design, innovation: these are the elements that distinguish the eyewear district and which make the real difference in the global market in which we operate today. I would like to give my sincere thanks to our member companies for their entrepreneurial spirit and to renew my congratulations to those whose commitment has brought our territory under the world spotlight', Sopracolle concluded.
