Zerorh+ with Alinghi until 2007
A supply agreement has been concluded between Zerorh+, the eyewear (produced and distributed by Allison) and pure-luxury sportswear brand, and Alinghi, the Swiss team and Defender of the America's Cup 2007.
The agreement concerns the supply of eyewear for all sailors and team members and it will be backed up by an advertising campaign in which the exceptional testimonial is still famous skipper Russell Coutts.
Zerorh+, which has been totally confident in the Alinghi Team since the last edition and for which it designed the Nemo model (the first floating glasses with lenses that increase vision efficiency), is about to launch other models on the market; they'll be tested at different times over the next few months by Alinghi sailors and they show all the signs of being even more successful than Nemo, especially amongst lovers of the ocean, and life onboard.
Zerorh+, the Official Alinghi Supplier, has just signed an agreement with Russell Coutts to supply eyewear for 32 sailors (a total of about 200 pairs a year), and also for the various members of the Team on land (about 100 pairs a year), for a total of at least 1,200 pairs between now and 2007. The production of a series of hi-tech models with the Zerorh+ label, but personalized for Alinghi is also envisaged. Some of the models are already on sale (Idro and floating Nemo or Mythos with strap), while others will be launched on the market starting 2005.
At Newport in the next few days, the Alinghi sailors will be testing the first of the models: Vertigo Sport Kit, ultra-light, aggressive, wraparound, with 'elastic back' and frontal grip, the perfect combination for sports activities and especially those where conditions are extreme. Vertigo Sport Kit has See-Sea lenses which increase a yachtsman's vision performance and efficiency by ensuring clear vision of the horizon, waves and wind changes, and give protection from the sun while keeping an eye on the sails against the sky and from reflections from the water when maneuvering the yacht.
