Armani expands presence in Japan
The Armani Group has signed a leasing contract with Fujikoshi Jisho K.K. to establish a retail presence in Japan.
According to this agreement, the head office and showrooms will be transferred to the Ginza quarter (Tokyo) by mid-2007.
'We chose Ginza for our flagship store in Japan because it is considered to be one of the world's most modern and cosmopolitan retail destinations', Armani explained. 'Although Japan is already one of our most important markets, it still offers us significant opportunities for expansion, especially in the accessories category. This new investment is proof of our long-term commitment to the growth of the Armani brand in this market'.
