Bikkembergs eyewear with rotating bars

Dirk Bikkembergs in his Bikkembergs by Dirk Bikkembergs line presents models with rotating bars. An innovative solution where bars curve around the lenses and revolving like the hands of a watch disappear as if by magic behind the frame front.

Paolo Cannavaro for BikkenbergsThe idea comes from Allison, which has patented the model in world exclusive for Dirk. Two unisex sunglasses featuring the innovation will hit the market this fall as a preview of the actual 50-model collection to be presented in January.

What makes the product so novel are both the detailing and the original way Dirk Bikkembergs interprets and applies high tech. All of Dirk's 'symbols' are there in the wrap-around shades: e.g. the monogram running along the mirror lens, or two metal letters from the Bikkembergs logo linking frame front to bars. As for the designer's signature on bars, it's in relief and not print form. Lots of surprising touches that turn this model utterly bold of design into a unique, exclusive accessory.

Bikkembergs's bent for innovative and creative solutions is clear also in his new take on the case: now a glamorous rigid 'pouch' with brand name in relief and the sunglasses metal logo on sides, plus smart elastic strap for sporting handily on an arm.

Equally distinctive is the palette for lenses, a selection of six colors from pastel pink or yellow to darker brown or green tones. Bikkembergs by Dirk Bikkembergs sunglasses will retail in eyewear stores and in the coolest boutiques worldwide.
