Carrera becomes MotoGp Sunglasses Supplier

Carrera becomes MotoGp Sunglasses Supplier

The Carrera eyewear collection will be the MotoGp Sunglasses Supplier for the 2005 and 2006 seasons following an agreement that has been signed between the Safilo Group and Dorna, the company that handles the commercial and television rights for the world motorbike championships.

All Dorna staff, on the track and in the pits, will wear Carrera sunglasses, chosen for their functionality and exclusive design that mirrors a distinctly sporty personality, but without overlooking the latest fashion trends.

Also in agreement with Dorna, during the most spectacular European events (Jerez, Estoril, Mugello, Barcelona, Sachsenring and Valencia), Carrera will be present in the public area with inflatable structures dedicated to receiving spectators.

The Carrera areas are specially designed points of contact between the MotoGp public and the Safilo sports brand. Promotional activities for visitors will take place at the Carrera point; at each of the six GPs, they will have the chance to win passes to the Carrera paddock and hospitality area and meet the team's drivers.

After the Carrera Sunglasses-Lcr stable, with drivers Roberto Locatelli and Casey Stoner (winner of last Sunday's 250 class at the Portugal Grand Prix), and the four testimonials, Loris Capirossi, Toni Elias, Hector Barbera and Mika Kallio, the agreement with Dorna now confirms Carrera as the reference brand for the exhilarating world of motorbikes.

The Carrera sunglasses collection dedicated to the world of 'racing' is designed by Enzo Sopracolle and Sergio Borsato.
